It’s close to 10 years since my accident…. I was so lucky that my spinal cord was not completely severed, and because of the phenomenal work of Felix Scholtes, the surgeon that operated on me after Francis Nijs and Pierre Wahlen had rescued me from the car, and then everyone at Viele Fjord clinic in Denmark who helped me for for months after my discharge from hospital in Glasgow, then Colin Wycherley, Iain Bell, Andy Sutherland, and especially Alex Garcia, I’m now able to do the things that you can see in these videos.
From being paralysed from the chest down to getting to here in 10 years has taken a bit of work, but it’s also taken a bucket load of friendship and devotion from everyone that has helped me to get to here.
As always, all I can say is, if you want something, just bloody well try.
