Everything changes if you desire more

"Grant me the strength to change the things I can change, the patience to accept the things I cannot change, and, above all, the wisdom to know the difference."

The universe is working in your favor, seeking to attract abundance, love, and happiness into your life. The key lies in learning how to harness that energy and its power for your benefit.

Where do universal laws come from?

Since ancient times, civilizations such as the Egyptians and the Greeks (and possibly even earlier) had an innate understanding of the order that governs the universe. This wisdom is reflected in the myths they revered, the religions they practiced, and the philosophies they developed.

For example, the ancient Egyptians honored Ma’at, the goddess of truth, balance, and cosmic order. Meanwhile, the Greeks, through the teachings of philosophers like Plato and Pythagoras, delved into the principles of harmony and balance. These ideas resonate with the notion of an interconnected universe governed by immutable laws.

As we move into the Renaissance, we find thinkers like Nicolaus Copernicus and Galileo Galilei who laid the groundwork for modern science.

In more recent times, figures such as Albert Einstein and quantum physicists have expanded our understanding of these principles, linking ancient ideas with contemporary concepts. Their work has demonstrated that the universe not only follows physical laws but is also intertwined in ways that challenge our perception of reality.

These scientific advancements not only support the teachings of past civilizations but also invite us to explore further how these universal laws continue to influence our lives today.

What are the 12 universal laws?

While 12 laws can be identified, they all work together to guide you toward a fuller and more satisfying life.

The universal law will answer any question you ask.

If you ask the right questions, you will receive spiritual guidance from the universe. If you pose them differently, the universe will respond accordingly, although perhaps not in the way you expected.

"If you ask what is wrong, it will point out all the negative things. But if you ask what is trying to be born, it will begin to reveal the potential within you that longs to emerge."

Now, let’s take a closer look at these universal laws of life.

If we do not change, we do not grow. And if we do not grow, we are not really living.

Law of Divine Unity «Everyone and everything are interconnected.»

When we reflect on our thoughts, actions, and emotions, we often consider them as independent entities. However, this law teaches us that everything is interrelated.

For example, if you are a parent having a tough day, you may inadvertently take out that frustration on your child. This negative energy can spread and alter the mood of those around you.

By recognizing this interconnectedness, you can cultivate empathy and compassion. You will become more aware of how your vibrations and actions influence the collective well-being.

How to apply it:

Maintain awareness of your thoughts and actions.

Make showing kindness and empathy a regular part of your daily life.

Take time to meditate on the interconnectedness of everything around you.

Practice gratitude for the people and experiences that enrich your life.

Get involved in helping your community through acts of service.

Law of Vibration «Everything moves in circles.»

Everything vibrates. From the tiniest atom to the vastest galaxy… even the chair you sit on, the plants in your garden, as well as your thoughts and emotions.

Each of these vibrations is unique and has its own frequency. Higher vibrations generate more positive experiences, while lower vibrations tend to create less favorable situations.

The fascinating part is that these vibrations do not exist in isolation. According to the law of resonance, similar frequencies attract and amplify each other.

For example, if you maintain positive thoughts and feel genuine gratitude, you are likely to start noticing new opportunities, supportive relationships, or moments of joy that previously went unnoticed.

This resonance creates a stronger attraction toward things that are on the same frequency. This can lead to synchronicities and the manifestation of experiences that align with that state of being.

How to apply it:

Use positive affirmations to elevate your mood.

Surround yourself with people and places that inspire and uplift you.

Engage in activities that make you feel happy and excited.

Practice gratitude to maintain high energy levels.

Try meditating or practicing deep breathing to stay calm and balanced.

Law of Action «Every action produces a different result.»

Many of us can talk about what we desire and dream about it: starting our own business, writing a book, or asking someone we like out.

However, when the time comes to act, we often fall short. This may be due to a lack of will, fear of failure, procrastination, or any number of reasons.

The important thing is that elevating your vibrations is just one part of the process. This universal law invites us to connect with our intuition, pay attention to the direction it guides us, and, most importantly, take real action.

For instance, if you dream of having your own business, create a business plan or reach out to potential mentors for guidance. If you want to write that book, start putting your ideas down on paper. And if Cupid has struck, don’t hesitate to ask that person you’re attracted to out on a date.

Of course, dreaming and talking about your aspirations is wonderful. But action is where the real magic happens.

How to apply it:

Set clear and achievable goals.

Break those goals down into smaller, manageable steps.

Take daily actions to move closer to your objectives.

Focus on tasks that align with your priorities.

Start with the simplest task to avoid procrastination and build momentum.

Law of Correspondence «Every action will be reflected in our outer world and our inner world.»

This law teaches us that there is a direct connection between what we experience externally and what happens within us.

Our actions, thoughts, and emotions not only affect our surroundings but also influence our emotional and mental state.

For example, if you cultivate positive thoughts and constructive attitudes, you are likely to experience healthier relationships and a more harmonious environment.

Conversely, if you focus on the negative, that is likely to be reflected in your daily experiences.

Think of it this way: if you feel stressed and overwhelmed by mounting bills or living paycheck to paycheck, you might try to solve the problem.

You could get a second job or cut back on your expenses. However, if you don't change your mindset, you will continue to see your situation as "not having enough."

How to apply it:

Take time to reflect on your internal thoughts and beliefs.

Align your beliefs with your goals and what you wish to achieve.

Use positive affirmations to reinforce your beliefs.

Spend time meditating or journaling to connect with your inner self.

Pay attention to your thoughts and actions to identify patterns in your life.

Law of Cause and Effect «Nothing happens by chance.»

When you bring good energy into the world, it returns to you in the form of positive experiences and outcomes. This law is based on the idea that what you give comes back to you.

While this law may seem similar to other universal laws of nature, it focuses on your actions and their consequences rather than on energy and frequencies. It is grounded in the belief that what you think, say, and do can trigger a chain of events that will inevitably come back to you in some way.

The way we behave also influences our perception of the world. For example, if you act out of anger, you are likely to perceive others as equally angry.

This is the essence of the law of cause and effect: our actions and attitudes shape our experiences and the reality that surrounds us.

How to apply it:

Make intentional and conscious decisions in your daily life.

Take responsibility for your actions and acknowledge their consequences.

Set clear goals and take consistent steps toward achieving them.

Practice kindness and generosity in your interactions with others.

Reflect on the outcomes of your decisions and learn from them to improve in the future.

Law of Compensation «Blessings come in various forms, such as gifts, money, and friendship.»

If you've seen "The Pursuit of Happyness," you will recognize the perseverance and positive attitude of Chris Gardner, despite facing adversity and being homeless. His determination ultimately led him to a rewarding career and financial stability.

This is a perfect example of the law of compensation in action. It is based on the idea that everything you contribute to the world—whether through your work, kindness, generosity, and more—will eventually come back to you.

This can manifest in the form of financial benefits, career advancement opportunities, or positive experiences in your life.

Whatever form it takes, these rewards often appear as signs from the universe that bring you closer to what you have been striving to achieve.

Although this law may seem similar to the law of cause and effect, it differs in that while the former focuses on the consequences of our actions, the law of compensation emphasizes the aspect of reward.

How to apply it:

Give your 110% in everything you do.

Acknowledge and appreciate the blessings you already have in your life.

Help others without expecting anything in return.

Invest your time and energy in your personal growth and development.

Trust that your hard work will be rewarded in due time.

Law of Attraction «Like attracts like.»

Among all the universal laws, the law of attraction is perhaps one of the most recognized today. Its premise is simple: what you focus on, whether positive or negative in nature, you will attract into your life.

For example, if you concentrate your attention on the positive and on your desires, you will draw those experiences toward you.

Conversely, if you focus on the negative, you will also attract that into your life.

This law manifests as we become more aware of our beliefs, including limiting ones. We begin to articulate, affirm, declare, and decree the kind of life we wish to live.

For this reason, many people use vision boards, set clear intentions, and employ affirmations to align their thoughts and emotions with a life that reflects their true aspirations.

How to apply it:

Keep your thoughts and feelings on a positive frequency.

Visualize your goals as if they have already been realized in your life.

Surround yourself with people and things that inspire and uplift you.

Use affirmations to reinforce your desires and objectives.

Take actions that align with what you wish to attract into your life.

Law of Perpetual Transmutation «We possess the power to change the conditions of our lives.»"

Perpetual transmutation" refers to the ability to constantly change or transform something into another form. In the context of this law, it relates to energy. In metaphysics, this implies that positive and elevated energy can transform negative and low energy (and vice versa). In other words, you have the power to modify your mood and the energy that surrounds you.

For example, if you wake up feeling sad on a Monday, you can listen to your favorite song or enjoy a cup of coffee in the garden—any activity that brings you joy.

How to apply it:

Engage in activities that lift your spirits, such as dancing, listening to music, or exercising.

Surround yourself with positive people and seek out uplifting environments.

Make it a habit to focus on the things you are grateful for each day.

Meditate to release negative energy and welcome positive energy.

Take small actions to turn a negative situation into a positive opportunity.

Law of Relativity «This law also teaches us to compare our problems with the problems of others.»

You likely learned about relativity in science class, a concept famously explored by Albert Einstein. His work focused on the relationship between space and time, and how"everything is relative."

This idea has influenced various areas of thought, including philosophy, psychology, and spirituality. You can take Einstein's concept and apply it to how you perceive and interpret your life experiences.

For example, imagine you are on your way to your wedding and suddenly get stuck in traffic. Naturally, you might start to panic. However, according to the law of relativity, this situation is only as stressful as you choose to perceive it.

Take a deep breath and remember that the wedding won’t start without you; this simple reflection can make a significant difference. Changing your perspective can transform your panic into peace, demonstrating that indeed, everything is relative.

How to apply it:

Reflect on individuals who have faced greater challenges and emerged stronger.

Focus on what is going well in your life to practice gratitude.

When things don’t go as expected, try to find the silver lining in the situation.

Instead of comparing yourself to others, stay focused on your own path and progress.

Use difficult moments as opportunities to learn and grow, turning challenges into valuable lessons.

Law of Polarity «Everything has an opposite.»

In life, there is light and darkness, peace and chaos, love and fear, high and low... Everything has an opposite, and this universal law is based on that duality.

For example, receiving bad news, such as not getting the promotion you worked so hard for, can be disheartening and frustrating.

However, the law of polarity reminds us that there is always an opposite side we can choose to focus on. This could include reevaluating your goals, strengthening your skills, or exploring projects that you're passionate about.

The key point is that it's essential to embrace both the positive and the negative.

You may even realize that setbacks like this can help you develop resilience and determination, which will benefit you in the long run.

How to apply it:

Remember that even difficult situations have a positive side and a lesson to learn.

Embrace both your strengths and weaknesses, as both are essential for your personal growth.

View challenges as opportunities to bring balance to your life and to learn something new.

Try to understand both sides of a situation or argument, which will help you gain a more comprehensive perspective.

Focus on turning negative thoughts into positive ones, seeking learning and growth in every experience.

Law of Rhythm «All energy vibrates at a certain speed and rhythm.»

Life has a rhythm, not one you can dance to, but cycles that rise and fall. You can observe this in nature: the changing of the seasons, circadian rhythms, the menstrual cycle, day turning into night and vice versa, and so on.

Additionally, your life experiences are also cyclical; you will experience both highs and lows. By recognizing this rhythm, you can align with it, much like being on a floating mat in the sea and letting the current carry you.

In fact, this relates to psychological flexibility, which is the ability to adapt well to the challenges life presents.

How to apply it:

Understand that life has its ups and downs; try to flow with the current and accept the natural cycle of things.

Recognize that difficult moments will eventually pass, so be patient with yourself and avoid self-blame.

Enjoy the good times and stay strong when things get tough; remember that both are part of the cycle of life.

Align your actions with your natural cycles of energy and mood, paying attention to when you feel most productive or energized.

Create daily routines that help you maintain balance and focus, such as practicing meditation, exercising, or dedicating time to your passions.

Law of Gender «Everything has its masculine and feminine principles.»

In the universe, everything possesses both masculine and feminine energies. While not limited to biological gender, these energies represent different qualities and forces that exist within each of us.

Here’s a summary of these energies:

Masculine Energy: Assertiveness, action, and logic.

Feminine Energy: Intuition, care, and compassion.

This law promotes a balance between both energies to lead a fulfilling and harmonious life. For example, if you have a friend who is feeling down, you might choose (a masculine quality) to take them out to cheer them up.

At the same time, you are also there to provide emotional support (a feminine quality), listening and showing empathy.

By maintaining a balance between these two energies, you are more likely to find a sense of fulfillment and inner peace in your interactions and daily life.

How to apply it:

Combine action and intuition when making important decisions, allowing both energies to guide you.

Be both assertive and compassionate in your interactions with others, adapting your approach according to the situation.

Use a mix of creativity and logic to solve problems, leveraging both perspectives.

Care for yourself by honoring both your nurturing side and your strong side, acknowledging that both are essential for your well-being.

Recognize and embrace the masculine and feminine traits within yourself, allowing both energies to express themselves in a balanced manner in your daily life.

We delight in the beauty of a butterfly, but rarely do we stop to think about the all the changes it had to go through to achieve that beauty.
